A new look at Spider-Man: Miles Morales from Game Informer showed off a new character we already love: a bodega cat.
The cat, also named Spider-Man, is found in a backpack hanging in a warehouse. Miles ends up returning the cat to a bodega owner, but after this, the cat dons the mask and can be used as a weapon in a fight. While knocking bad guys around, the cat can leap out of Miles’ backpack and unleash a harsh swipe.
Judging by the bodega owner’s encouragement, he really wants cat Spider-Man to be a big hero, so he sends him off with Miles.
Cats are one of the best parts about bodegas, so it’s thrilling that they finally get the superhero recognition they deserve. Usually they just chill and sit along the bread, or maybe on the counter, like Spider-Man (the cat) does.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be available for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on Nov. 12. The deluxe edition of the game will also include Spider-Man: Remastered.
