Borderlands 3’s second season pass of paid downloadable content launches Nov. 10, alongside the enhanced next-generation version of the game announced on Tuesday.
Season Pass 2 introduces the previously announced skill-tree additions for all the Vault Hunter characters, as well as a new standalone mode called Arms Race. That’s part of a package called the Designer’s Cut, which launches Nov. 10 on Google Stadia, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and Series S.
The second tranche of DLC is in the Director’s Cut, planned for the spring of 2021. 2K Games and Gearbox Software have a series of Twitch livestreams scheduled from Oct. 20-30; today’s announcement has the full schedule and more detail.
Borderlands 3 launches for Xbox Series X on Nov. 10 and PlayStation 5 on Nov. 12, the same date as the consoles themselves. All players who own the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One get the upgrade for free. All add-ons and save files from earlier consoles will carry over to the next generation, too. And Borderlands 3, on all four consoles, will have vertical split-screen local cooperative play beginning in November, too.
