Pokémon Go will be hosting its yearly Halloween event, featuring doubled candy and scary ghost-type Pokémon.
The event will run from Oct. 23 until Nov. 3, and during this time, more ghost-type Pokémon will appear in the wild. In true Halloween spirit, candy obtained from catching and transferring Pokémon will be doubled, making this a prime time to hoard candy you need.
Gengar and Sableye will both get Halloween costumes, with Gengar showing up in raids and Sableye appearing both in the wild and in eggs.
Galarian Yamask will also be making its debut through a set of Special Research tasks called “A Spooky Message Unmasked.” Normally “A Spooky Message” rewards Spiritomb, but Spiritomb will be made available through normal Field Research instead. It will have a chance to appear Shiny as well.
Mega Gengar will also make its debut, as players will be able to collect Gengar Mega Energy by doing Timed Research.
