Genshin Impact is getting a new Banner: Sparkling Steps. This Banner features Klee, a bomb-throwing, Pyro child. It replaces the Ballad of Goblets Banner, which featured Venti.
The Sparkling Steps Banner will launch in Genshin Impact on Oct. 20, and offers an increased chance at Klee. Like with Venti, every five-star pull from the Sparkling Steps Banner has a 50% chance to be Klee. If you don’t get Klee on your first five-star pull, you’re guaranteed to get her on your second five-star pull. This banner also comes with a 90-pull mercy, meaning that you’ll get a guaranteed five-star every 90 pulls. The most Wishes you can make without getting Klee is 180.
Also like Ballad of Goblets, the Klee Banner includes an increased chance at some four-star characters. 50% of all four-star characters you pull will either be Xingqiu, Noelle, or Sucrose.
Prior to the Sparkling Steps Banner, Klee hasn’t been available in-game. But players were able to check her out during the game’s beta period and via an in-game trial questline at Adventure Rank 32.
Klee works a little differently than other mages — or catalyst users. Her basic attacks throw pyro bombs, while holding the attack button creates a fire laser that blasts a small area. Her primary ability has two charges, and causes her to chuck a bomb forward. The bomb bounces a few times, explodes, and leaves behind some fire mines. Her ultimate ability causes fire lasers to rain down on nearby enemies for a short period of time.
With the removal of his banner, players can no longer get Venti from any Wishes. Based on her limited-time Banner, it’s likely Klee will be the same way. Players will probably only have until Genshin Impact’s 1.1 update — which hits servers on Nov. 11 — to unlock Klee.
As always, players can use Primo Gems earned in-game to buy more Intertwined Fates to make Wishes, or spend real cash to Wish for Klee.
