Sport a new ’do for the holidays

Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ upcoming winter update packs a ton of features and additions, including a number of new cosmetic options on for anyone looking to adjust what their villager looks like. While the trailer only features these tweaks briefly, they’ll make a notable difference for Black fans, or players of color.

You can now, for instance, give your character dreadlocks or an afro, or a fade. There’s also a new curly natural hair option, and some extremely cute puffs. You can also just opt out altogether and go bald now too. Choices! There are six new hair options in total.

These wouldn’t mean much on their own, of course, which is why it’s good news that the Animal Crossing updates will also include new holidays, a slate of new poses, save data transfer options, added inventory space, and even a promised January patch with mysterious content. For now, though, if you want to celebrate Turkey Day or Toy Day with a new look, you totally can.

The next level of puzzles.
