Pokémon from the Kalos region, including Gen 6 starters Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie, are coming to Pokémon Go, developer Niantic confirmed Wednesday. The addition of new monsters from Pokémon X and Pokémon Y was teased back in July, and they’ll finally make their debut in Pokémon Go on Dec. 2.

The initial rollout of Pokémon from the Kalos region for Pokémon Go will include the previously mentioned Gen 6 starters, as well as their respective evolutions Quilladin and Chesnaught; Braixen and Delphox; and Frogadier and Greninja. Other Kalos region Pokémon confirmed for the initial expansion of Pokémon Go’s Pokédex include Bunnelby, Diggersby, Fletchling, Fletchinder, Talonflame, Litleo, and Pyroar. Those Pokémon will appear in the wild, in eggs, and as part of evolutions.

Klefki, the Steel/Fairy Pokémon that resembles a key ring, is also coming, but will only be available in France.

A special event featuring new Pokémon from the Kalos region will run from Dec. 2 at 10 a.m. local time to Dec. 8 at 10 p.m. local time.

It’s been more than a year since Niantic added Pokémon from the previous generation — Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, and others from the Unova region — to Pokémon Go. The Unova Pokédex remains incomplete, however, and several Legendary Pokémon from earlier generations are still not available in the mobile game.

Exactly how Niantic will roll out additional Pokémon from the Kalos region is unclear, but players should expect staggered releases similar to the Unova region and new seasonal drops.
