GTA Online’s next big heist also tunes up the radio

Tired of the same old tunes?

Grand Theft Auto Online offers players the chance to turn on the radio while they cruise around town, which is a nice addition. There have totally been times where I ignore the crime opportunities around me in favor of driving around to the Backstreet Boys. The Cayo Perico Heist update brings three new stations to the radio, and overhauls two more, in what Rockstar call Grand Theft Auto Online’s Biggest Ever Musical Update.”

Rockstar revealed the three new stations. Here’s what players can expect once the new update hits on Dec. 15.

Still Slipping

Run by U.K. DJ Joy Orbinson, Still Slipping is a “mix of house, techno, drill and drum-and-bass.” Orbison is looking for a broader reach, and the player will be able to help him out with that task and support their local music scene with the Cayo Perico Heist.

Kult FM 99.1

Julian Casablancas of The Strokes and The Voidz hosts this particular station, with appearances from Mac DeMarco, David Cross, and Tony Mac. As for the soundtrack, Rockstar writes: “The station’s playlist spans from the Madchester sounds of Joy Division, New Order and A Certain Ratio to heavy throwbacks from Danzig, the Velvet Underground and Iggy Pop, and everything in between, plus the world exclusive premiere of a new track from The Voidz called “Alien Crime Lord.”

The Music Locker

The Music Locker’s brings “the sets and sounds of the hottest new club in Los Santos above ground and onto the air waves,” and plays a lot of house, disco, and techno music. There will be mixes from Keinemusik, and sets from Palms Trax and Moodymann, which makes it sound like a pretty sweet station to have on while driving around.

Meanwhile, Flylo FM and Worldwide FM will both be getting upgrades. After driving around Los Santos since 2013, it’ll be nice for players to have some more background noise to enjoy.

The Cayo Perico Heist update adds a new island to the game, as well as a submarine base that players can use to infiltrate and rob a drug lord’s hidden vaults.
