Disney’s live action remake of Chip n’ Dale Rescue Rangers is upon us — and set to be a hybrid animated-live-action movie featuring the voice talents of John Mulaney and Andy Samberg as the goofy chipmunk brothers. Mulaney is Chip=, Samberg is Dale, and the Lonely Island’s Akiva Schaffer will direct. This movie will be set in a world where cartoon characters live alongside humans — and traditionally animated characters are doing their best to stay relevant in a computer graphics dominated world.
In addition to Mulaney and Samberg, Disney’s Sean Bailey announced on the 2020 Investor Day call that Seth Rogen will be involved.

The movie is one of many live action movies coming to Disney Plus, including Peter Pan and Wendy, Pinocchio, and a sequel to 2007’s Enchanted. Other titles like The Little Mermaid and Jungle Cruise will be keeping their theatrical release. Chip n’ Dale Rescue Rangers is set to debut on the platform in Spring 2022.
