Rockstar released a new trailer for Grand Theft Auto Online’s next update, the Cayo Perico Heist. The trailer gives a look at the two sides of the update: one, the fun social elements that can be shared with friends, like the ability to dance together in an elite island nightclub. The second part of the update is the heist itself, where players rob an eccentric, drug trafficking billionaire named El Rubio with state of the art security and enviable riches.
The Cayo Perico Heist looks like it’ll be a similar structure to the Diamond Casino Heist update, which released in Dec. 2019. Players will be able to spend time at the island’s new locales, like a nightclub where real-world musicians have contributed sets that will rotate weekly for players to enjoy.
Players will have series of missions to complete around Cayo Perico before the Heist itself unlocks, but this time they can complete the Heist solo instead of needing to collect a group.
The Cayo Perico Heist launches on Dec. 15.
