Kefla is the fusion of two other Dragon Ball Z characters, Kale and Caulifla, a Super Saiyan salad of sorts who made her first appearance in the anime in 2017, and previously appeared in video game form as DLC for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.
The only other confirmed character coming in season 3 is Ultra Instinct Goku, expected sometime in spring 2020. Pricing was not announced, but the original FighterZ Pass included eight characters for $29.99, while the second pass featured six characters for $24.99.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One. The game was recently confirmed as part of the main competition at this year’s Evo fighting game tournament.
