‘I went a bit mad,’ Warren Ellis says of writing the new season
Our heroes, Sypha Belnades, Trevor Belmont, and Alucard, are still out here battling the forces of darkness in season 3. And animated house Powerhouse Studios appears to have stepped things up for the third season, with hints of some incredibly dynamic action in the new Castlevania trailer. Eagle-eyed Castlevania fans will spot some familiar enemies — including Legion (aka Granfaloon) and Malachi — being teased here.
Netflix confirmed a third season of Castlevania in October 2018, and announced that series writer Warren Ellis would return to write and produce. Ellis called the new season of Castlevania “a weird one – with increased episode count and budget, I went a bit mad and kind of tested the boundaries of the thing.”
Castlevania season 3 will span 10 episodes.
