Black Widow’s Super Bowl TV spot packs tons of action into less than one minute

Phase 4 starts in 88 days

“The Avengers weren’t my first family,” says Natasha Romanoff in the Black Widow Super Bowl TV spot.

The newest look at the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe installment is just 30 seconds long, but jam-packs all the action in that half-minute. There’s a tense fight on a bridge, a group of women training for the Black Widow program, and lots of fiery explosions.

Black Widow takes place in between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. The standalone follows Natasha Romanoff as she confronts her past and enlists the help of her original found family — made up of fellow Black Widow graduate Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Red Guardian (David Harbour), and yet another Black Widow, Melina Vostokoff (Rachel Weisz) — to help eliminate someone from her past.

Black Widow, the first movie in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, hits theaters on May 1. The next movie on the way is November’s The Eternals.
