Ryan Gilliam (he/him) has worked at Polygon for nearly seven years. He primarily spends his time writing guides for massively popular games like Diablo 4 & Destiny 2.

Call of Duty: Warzone just removed helicopters from the battle royale mode, but before that happened, a squad of noble heroes completed a quest nobody else was brave enough to attempt: lifting a jeep onto the stadium.

What’s so impressive and silly about this particular trick is that Warzone’s choppers aren’t designed to airlift trucks — instead, players are driving the jeep on top of the helicopter and hitching rides on the rotor blades.

A Reddit post from user BoldWarrior14 shows a Warzone squad using the helicopter to fly a jeep (called the SUV in-game) onto the game’s massive stadium. The team uses a variety of tactics to transform this dream into a reality.

The idea is simple: One teammate flies a helicopter near the stadium, while another drives a jeep onto the top rotor. If done correctly — as seen in BoldWarrior14’s video — the jeep will balance carefully on top of the helicopter. After that, it’s just a simple manner of flying the helicopter, weighed down by the giant jeep, up above the stadium.

But there are a lot of factors working against #TeamMountainGoat, as they call themselves. First, they have to get close enough to the stadium to drop off the jeep without crashing the helicopter. Next, they have to get lucky enough not to be murdered by the other players in the game — a problem that definitely crops up a few times in the video.

Once the team manages to overcome the game’s strange physics and places the jeep where a jeep was never intended to be, cheers erupt. There’s something truly majestic about watching the jeep roam free on top of the giant stadium, and then watch it plummet back to the earth it knows so well when #TeamMountainGoat drives it off the edge.

This is not #TeamMountainGoat’s first rodeo when it comes to lifting heavy vehicles onto high places. Nearly a month ago, the team lifted a single-man ATV onto the coliseum. But the fans demand more, as the comment section on this Reddit post already has some users asking #TeamMountainGoat to lift Big Bertha — Warzone’s massive, heavy-duty “cargo truck” — onto the stadium next. “I may prefer a life over the [Reddit] Karma but we shall see! ;),” said BraveWarrior14.

In the meantime, we’ll be waiting, wondering what heavy thing #TeamMountainGoat will defy physics with next.
