Watch Microsoft’s Xbox Series X game reveal showcase

Ubisoft shows off Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in action for the first time

Microsoft will show off the first Xbox Series X gameplay from third-party publishers (including Ubisoft) during a new episode of Inside Xbox on Thursday, May 7. The livestream will kick off at 11 a.m. ET/8 a.m. PT, and is expected to run about an hour. You can watch today’s Inside Xbox stream here, via YouTube.

In addition to an in-game look at Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, expect some brand-new games that “have never been seen in an Xbox show before,” according to Xbox head Phil Spencer. Xbox Series X games from “studios large and small” will be revealed or confirmed for Microsoft’s next-gen console, Spencer said.

One thing you shouldn’t expect are games from Microsoft’s internal Xbox Game Studios. The company is planning a reveal of first-party games, like Halo Infinite and Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, in July. It also sounds like we may have to wait another month for a new look at Cyberpunk 2077; developer CD Projekt Red is teasing a preview of that game for June 11.

Xbox games marketing general manager Aaron Greenberg said Thursday’s episode of Inside Xbox is the start of monthly reveals from Microsoft. “Expect a variety of unique games with some new 3rd party IP as well this month,” Greenberg said on Twitter.

Xbox Series X is scheduled to launch holiday 2020.
