New co-op game from A Way Out creator, It Takes Two, launches in 2021

Yep more co-op

Julia Lee (she/her) is a guides producer, writing guides for games like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Genshin Impact. She helped launch the Rift Herald in 2016.

A Way Out writer and director Josef Fares made an appearance during the 2020 EA Play livestream to show off his new title, It Takes Two.

After a showing a supercut of epic Josef Fares moments, Hazelight Studios debuted the trailer for It Takes Two. Just like A Way Out, the new title is a co-op action adventure game that will, in Fares’ words, “blow your fucking mind away.”

The two players will control dolls that represent the main character’s parents, who are on the verge of separating. They’ll have to make it through several levels that seem to be made up of the main character’s bedroom, mixed with imagination, and ... outer space apparently?

It Takes Two will drop in 2021, with no specific consoles announced yet.
