Nintendo will release a series of updates for Animal Crossing: New Horizons this summer that will add new (and returning) features, including the ability to go swimming and diving on your island, the company announced Thursday. Divers will be able to catch new sea creatures, and your swims out to sea will let you encounter a familiar face: Pascal the sea otter.

Swimming and diving are coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons as part of a free update due to be released on July 3. Players will be able to donate new sea creatures — eels, star fish, scallops, anemones, and more — to Blathers’ museum, and they’ll score new mermaid-themed DIY recipes from Pascal, Nintendo said in a news release.

The pelican Gulliver will also get a change of clothes as part of July’s update. He’s getting a pirate-themed look and will give players an unidentified “special reward” for helping him out.

Players could swim for items in Animal Crossing: New Leaf for Nintendo 3DS with the use of a wetsuit. Players had to be mindful of jellyfish while searching for their ocean bounty.

Nintendo says another free update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons is coming in early August, but didn’t specify what content it will bring to the charming life sim. A trailer released Thursday seems to indicate the update will add fireworks to the game. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now for Nintendo Switch.
