GOG.com is giving away one of the best real-time strategy games ever, along with a couple of its expansions, in the Total Annihilation: Commander Pack. The Total Annihilation giveaway is part of GOG.com’s annual summer sale which included discounts of thousands of other games as well.

Total Annihilation lets players build armies in a futuristic world full of flying ships and giant mechs in either multiplayer or single player modes. The Total Annihilation: Commander Pack comes with two expansions for the game called The Core Contingency and Battle Tactics, both of which add missions to the campaign and additional units to the game.

While Total Annihilation never got a proper sequel, the game’s lead designer Chris Taylor eventually went to Gas Powered Games and created the Supreme Commander franchise, as a spiritual successor to Total Annihilation. If you’re interested in checking those later games out as well, GOG.com has Supreme Commander: Gold Edition for 80% off and Supreme Commander 2 for 75% as part of the summer sale.

The GOG.com summer sale will continue until June 15, but the Total Annihilation giveaway only lasts until Sunday morning.
