On June 9, Bungie unveiled the future of Destiny 2. In a home livestream, members of the studio spoke about the new season — out now — the fall expansion, Beyond Light, and content coming to Destiny 2 in 2021 and 2022.
In the fall, players can expect to earn new subclasses based on the Darkness, and finally learn some of the story secrets Bungie has been teasing for years. Going forward, players will continue the war against the Darkness with Destiny 2: The Witch Queen in 2021 and Destiny 2: Lightfall in 2022.
Destiny 2’s current season, Season of Arrivals, will act as a kind of prelude for this new era of Destiny, as the Darkness appears for the first time in our solar system.
