It’ll be part of the Master Chief Collection

The last installment of the original Halo trilogy will arrive on PC on July 14. Halo 3 will be part of The Master Chief Collection, available to purchase via Steam and the Microsoft Store. It’ll also be available for free through the Xbox Game Pass for PC subscription service. The other Halo games currently available to play on PC are Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, and Halo: Reach (which will be joined by Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4 down the road, promises 343 Industries). Halo 3 will be available as part of the collection, or on its own for $9.99.

The first-person shooter originally came out in 2007, with much critical acclaim for its multiplayer and replayability. Halo 3 quickly became the best-selling game of that year.

If this isn’t enough Halo news for you, don’t worry: 343 Industries plans to show off Halo Infinite, the newest Halo installment, later this month during an Xbox Game Studios event on July 23. The game itself is set for a late 2020 release date.

Correction (July 9): A previous version of this story misstated that Halo 3 would not be available for purchase individually. We’ve edited the article to reflect this.
