Apex Legends’ new season is almost here and ahead of the release next week, Respawn has finally shown off some gameplay. The season 6 gameplay trailer was released on Friday, and it gave us our first real glimpse of Rampart in action, as well as a look at some of the map changes coming to the Apex Games.

The trailer kicks off with Rampart setting up her turret and shooting everything in site. We’ve seen her turret a few times before, but this is the first time we’ve gotten a real sense of how much damage it can do in-game. We also see a few more shields, which Rampart is actually setting up, seemingly confirming that they’re one of her abilities.

As for the map, a few new fortifications have been added to various areas around World’s Edge, though we’ll likely have to wait for the full release to see everything that’s changed. There’s also get a brief look at the new crafting system that will allow players to create the guns they want, rather than just waiting to find them on the map. The trailer also scrolls through a few of the new skins players can expect in the new battle pass, which looks better than just about any battle pass in the game so far.

Finally, there’s a brief tease at the end of the trailer with Blisk, the founder of the Apex Games, letting everyone know that “something big is on the horizon,” before the trailer zooms out to reveal a rocket in the background. There are a million ways to interpret such a vague reveal, but the trailer’s live reveal chat on YouTube was quick to speculate that it could mean season 7 will involve a whole new map.

Of course, it’s just speculation now. Apex Legends’ sixth season is set to start on Aug. 18, and Rampart should be released at the same time.
