A new trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 during the DC FanDome event on Saturday. The event, held online due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, kicked off with the 25-minute Wonder Woman 1984 panel where the cast gushed over the making of the film and the fans. Then we got to the brand new footage.

In the trailer, we see Diana and Steve living it up in Washington D.C. in the 1980s. But someone is holding a grudge against the superpowered Amazon. It’s Kristen Wiig’s Barbara, who has apparently transformed herself into a cheetah. THE Cheetah.

Wonder Woman 1984, directed by Patty Jenkins, is a follow-up to the director’s 2017 film, Wonder Woman. (Jenkins also wrote the script.) Gal Gadot is returning as Diana of Themyscira, with Kristen Wiig playing Barbara Ann Minerva, a British archaeologist who becomes Cheetah. Pedro Pascal plays Max Lord, and Robin Wright and Connie Nelson return as Antiope and Hippolyta, respectively. Chris Pine will also be back as Steve Trevor. Wonder Woman 1984 was first revealed in 2018 at San Diego Comic-Con.

Wonder Woman 1984 was originally slated for a June 5 release date, but it was delayed until Aug. 15 due to the pandemic. The film was delayed once again in June, and will now be released on Oct. 2.
