Early Tuesday morning, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War leaked ahead of its upcoming reveal. A long description for the game, posted on Call of Duty Tracker, suggests it’s a direct sequel to the original Call of Duty: Black Ops.
As the name suggests, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War takes place during the Cold War — a war of espionage rather than gunfire, taking place between the United States and Russia in the 1980s. According to the leak, “players will come face-to-face with historical figures and hard truths, as they battle around the globe through iconic locales like East Berlin, Vietnam, Turkey, the Soviet KGB headquarters and more.”
The campaign will star Woods, Mason, and Hudson from the original Black Ops, with a host of new heroes as well. Players will spend their time hunting down someone called Perseus, who seeks to use the war to their advantage.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will also bring the familiar Treyarch Zombies mode and a host of Call of Duty multiplayer modes, both including a bunch of weapons from the 1980s. Warzone will also see quite a few changes.
