League of Legends’ girl group sensation, K/DA, dropped their latest single, “The Baddest,” along with a cool lyric video to promote it.
In this song, Soyeon and Miyeon of K-pop group (G)I-dle return to their roles, voicing Akali and Ahri, respectively. However, both Evelynn and Kai’Sa have new artists providing voices for them: Bea Miller and Wolftyla. These champions were previously voiced by Madison Beer and Jaira Burns.
“The Baddest” is the promotional single off of an upcoming full-length EP, which means we’re getting more K/DA music in coming days.
“Artists featured in THE BADDEST and the rest of the songs on the upcoming EP will be collaborators, allowing K/DA to welcome a much larger roster of amazingly talented musicians to join them in their comeback,” Riot Games said in a press release. “More details on the feature artist roster will be revealed on K/DA’s social media accounts in the near future.”
This means that these four will likely not be the voices for the girls in every song. Many of the members of K/DA canonically speak a handful of languages, so it would make sense to find different artists who can speak other languages to represent them fully.
The four girls do appear in new outfits and hairstyles that deviate from their usual K/DA skins. These outfits have been tagged with “prerelease outfit” on Twitter, but it’s unknown if these outfits are just for show if they’ll be available as skins in the future.
