Sony will broadcast a new episode of State of Play on Thursday, Aug. 6, promising new details on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR games, as well as some updates on PlayStation 5 games.

The new State of Play will be more than 40 minutes long, Sony said, and will kick off at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT on PlayStation’s Twitch and YouTube channels.

Don’t expect a big blowout on PlayStation 5. Sony says the focus is on upcoming PS4 and PS VR games, and will include “quick check-ins on third-party and indie games from June’s PS5 showcase.” To set expectations, Sony said on Twitter that there will be “no big PS5 announcements” during the next State of Play.

On the PlayStation Blog, Sony stressed that there will be no updates from PlayStation Studios developers, nor will there be any updates around PlayStation 5 hardware, preorders, or release dates. “On Thursday, our focus is squarely on showcasing some cool upcoming games coming to the broader PlayStation ecosystem,” Sony said.
