PlayStation’s latest State of Play broadcast gets underway Thursday afternoon, and though Sony has straight up said it has no “major” PlayStation 5 announcements, there will be a few updates on some third-party PS5 games seen in the June showcase.
Viewers can expect a 40-minute presentation centered on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR games. There won’t be anything from PlayStation Studios, nor will there be anything about PlayStation 5 pre-orders, launch dates, or the new hardware coming this holiday season.
“Our focus is squarely on showcasing some cool upcoming games coming to the broader PlayStation ecosystem,” Sony said on Monday.
Third-party games shown or teased at the June 4 “Future of Gaming” event included Resident Evil Village, a direct sequel to 2017’s Resident Evil 7; Hitman 3; and an “expanded and enhanced” Grand Theft Auto 5.
The show’s Twitch stream is embedded above; viewers may also catch it on YouTube beginning at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT.
