This Friday, CD Projekt Red will present new details on Cyberpunk 2077, the highly anticipated role-playing game. The livestreaming event, the third in a series, is called Night City Wire and it kicks off at noon EDT on Twitch.
Previous episodes have highlighted game mechanics, including the high concept “brain dance” that allows players to get a glimpse of other people’s memories. This time around fans should expect new details on the game’s many warring gang factions.
While Friday’s Night City Wire stream originally planned to feature details about Cyberpunk 2077’s original music, CD Projekt Red’s plans have changed. It sounds like fans will instead get information about the Windows PC version’s system requirements.
We have a small change in the lineup – we won't be talking about #Cyberpunk2077 music just yet. We will, however, have some cool news that many of you request. Or should we say... *require*?— Cyberpunk 2077 (@CyberpunkGame) September 16, 2020
Nothing else changes – see you on Friday at 6 PM CEST at https://t.co/cBU8yS6pfc!
We already know a little bit about a few of the gangs, including the ’roided up Animals, the tech-heavy Maelstrom, and the sex worker-friendly Mox. Expect many of the gangs — like the Voodoo Boys — to be reinventions of classic factions from the original tabletop RPG. Other factions will be completely new. Here’s the full list:
- 6th Street
- Tyger Claws
- Voodoo Boys
Cyberpunk 2077 was delayed twice. The new release date is Nov. 19 — just in time for the launch of the new next-generation game consoles. The game will be released for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Google Stadia, Xbox One, and the Xbox Series S and Series X.
