The Pokémon Company will reveal a new video showcasing updates on Pokémon Sword and Shield’s expansions on Sept. 29 at 9 a.m. EDT/6 a.m. PDT. The video will be broadcast on the official Pokémon YouTube channel.
While the first expansion, The Isle of Armor, was already released in June, there isn’t much we know about the upcoming expansion, The Crown Tundra. Seeing as it’s slated for a fall release, we should be getting a release date with this reveal.
From what we’ve seen in previous trailers, The Crown Tundra seems to focus on new legendary Pokémon, mainly the large-headed Calyrex. There’s also Galarian forms of Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres, along with two new Legendary titans: Regieleki and Regidrago.
The ice area will also bring back over 100 returning Pokémon, expanding the Galar region Pokédex some more. While we haven’t seen a concrete list of returning Pokémon in The Crown Tundra, we can definitely expect to see a ton of old legendary Pokémon, as they’ll return in dens to raid against.
