The next entry in Sega’s Yakuza series, Yakuza: Like A Dragon, will now arrive on Nov. 10. That’s when the turn-based role-playing game will hit PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. The PlayStation 5 version of Yakuza: Like A Dragon is scheduled to arrive on March 2, 2021, Sega confirmed on Monday.
Yakuza: Like A Dragon was previously scheduled for Nov. 13, but the game will now ship alongside the Xbox Series X and Series S.
Sega also confirmed that PlayStation 4 owners of the digital version of Yakuza: Like A Dragon will be able to download the PS5 version at no extra cost when that version of the game arrives next year. The PS5 version will cost $59.99, Sega said.
Yakuza: Like A Dragon deviates from the traditional action of the Yakuza series with turn-based role-playing game mechanics and a party of fellow street fighters. The main protagonist is Ichiban Kasuga, a yakuza who spends 18 years in prison after taking the fall for his boss’ crimes. After being abandoned by his clan — and after his boss, Masumi Arakawa, attempts to murder him — Kasuga finds himself in Yokohama. A new trailer released Monday highlights the various party members and jobs that players can enjoy.
