First look at Bowser’s Fury reveals giant Cat Mario

Mario gets some help from Bowser Jr. in Super Mario 3D World for Switch

Nintendo is bringing Mario’s 3D adventure from the Wii U to Nintendo Switch next month, giving players another opportunity to enjoy the outstanding Super Mario 3D World. It’s coming with a new add-on called Bowser’s Fury, and in a new trailer released Tuesday, we get a clear look at what that expanded adventure entails.

According to Nintendo, Bowser “has become gargantuan and lost all control” in Bowser’s Fury. Mario and friends will team up with Bowser Jr. to quell the bigger Bowser’s fury in an all-new adventure.

The original Super Mario 3D World was released in 2013 for Wii U. The four-player cooperative platformer starring Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad was one of the best games of that year (and one of the best Super Mario games of all time).

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury will launch for Nintendo Switch on Feb. 12. The game costs $59.99. Nintendo will also release two new amiibo figures alongside the Switch game: Cat Mario and Cat Peach. Both will offer “in-game enhancements” for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, Nintendo said in a news release.
