Watch Capcom’s Resident Evil Showcase

Get the latest on Resident Evil Village, a new multiplayer game, and more

Capcom will reveal new details about Resident Evil Village, the next major game in its horror franchise, as well as other Resident Evil franchise projects, during a livestream on Thursday. The Resident Evil Showcase video presentation will be broadcast at 5 p.m. EST/2 p.m. PST.

Capcom will stream the event on its Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook channels. The showcase will be hosted by Brittney Brombacher of What’s Good Games, and feature appearances from Resident Evil Village producers Peter Fabiano and Tsuyoshi Kanda.

In addition to new Resident Evil Village gameplay footage, viewers should expect information on a new multiplayer Resident Evil game timed with the franchise’s 25th anniversary. Capcom also has a new Resident Evil animated series called Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, which is coming to Netflix in 2021, and a new live-action film is slated to hit movie theaters.

Resident Evil Village was announced in June during Sony’s PlayStation 5 reveal event. The game is coming to PS5, Windows PC, and Xbox One sometime this year. Village will be a direct sequel to Resident Evil 7: Biohazard; it shares that game’s protagonist, Ethan Winters, and its first-person perspective.
