Next Binding of Isaac expansion coming in March

Repentance adding more characters and items

After a long development, the third expansion pack for The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is finally coming to Steam on March 31, as revealed in a new trailer. The expansion pack, based off of a popular fan-made mod called Antibirth, was first announced in August of 2018, but has since seen a number of significant delays.

While much of the content that was first introduced in Antibirth will make the jump to Repentance, there will also be new additions, from items and characters, to new levels to die in. Recent tallies mention at least 130 new items, bringing the total number of pick-ups in Isaac to over 700.

The expansion will also add “true” co-op for the first time. While co-op has been in The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth for some time, the second player was always relegated to playing a support “baby” that flew around the main Isaac to assist. Starting in Repentance, players will be able to control two full Isaacs at once, which is sure to result in even more on-screen chaos.

The Binding of Isaac: Repentance will come to Steam on March 31 for $14.99 (though it will require all previous DLC packs to play). A Switch version is also planned sometime after release, with no other consoles specifically mentioned by the developers.
