Ignition Entertainment’s trippy and mind-boggling El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is coming back with a PC version on Steam, a decade after its original release.
The game is most notable for its story, which is based off the ancient Hebrew text, The Book of Enoch. El Shaddai follows Enoch, a scribe who seeks seven fallen angels in order to prevent a flood from destroying all of mankind. Throughout the course of the game, you fight your way and jump through various apocalyptic scenarios inspired by the original text.
The character design is wonderfully chaotic. You play as these characters inspired by ancient sacred texts, and they’re all just really... hot, looking like they came straight out of a Britney Spears music video. The best part is, as Enoch takes damage, he slowly loses articles of clothing. Start off with a full look, end with ripped jeans and washboard abs.
If any of this piques your interest, the press release stated that El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is coming to PC “soon.”
