Fortnite’s next team-up is with Aliens

We’re going to assume this rather hamfisted piece of expository dialogue references a chestburster and not, say, that gross thing from Ice Pirates. It appears that an Alien or Aliens will be the next crossover in Fortnite’s Zero Point mishmash of continuities.

We don’t yet know what an Alien collab will bring, but if this is referencing a warrant officer, then Ellen Ripley would be a solid bet. Xenomorphs are also good, terrifying fun (and their good buddy Predator stopped by back in January).

Whether players will be getting skins, a game type, or, dare we dream, with a Powered Work Loader suit, we’ll probably find out for sure headed into the weekend.

Since the Zero Point crossover-palooza began in December, it follows a pattern that on Wednesdays, Epic Games supplies the tease, then on Friday confirms it. In between, Fortnite’s obsessive leakers and data-miners will probably find something to make it all anticlimactic.
