New Five Nights at Freddy’s game Security Breach gets a new trailer

The worst mall visit ever

Sony’s State of Play livestream showed off a host of games coming to the PlayStation 5, including a creepy horror game called Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach. This game is part of the Five Night at Freddy’s franchise, which is based around the horror of Chuck E. Cheese-esque environments full of murderous animatronics. Security Breach is being developed by Steel Wool Studios, who were behind Five Nights at Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted.

This looks like the largest addition to the franchise yet, as it takes place inside a shopping mall, and the trailer showed off a few environments: a Freddy Fazbear’s pizza parlor, a mini-golf course, and a kids’ playground. It also looks like there’s a strong narrative element, with mysterious figures taunting the protagonists, one of whom is a mall security guard. The game was announced in August 2019, and players have found ARG-style messages hidden in a promotional website’s code leading up to the lore of the final game.

Security Breach will arrive on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Windows PC sometime in 2021; there is no exact release date at the moment.
