Blaseball is finally back with more chaos and snacks

The Commissioner sure is doing a great job

Blaseball, the surreal totally-not-baseball betting game, is back, with some shiny new features.

After being on a siesta for months, the online sports game has made a triumphant return. Fans will notice that quite a few things on the website have gotten face lifts. The weather icons ditched their 2D look and now have some beveling. The other icons, like for idols, have also gotten a bit of an update. Most importantly, there’s now a plethora of different snacks to consume.

In the shop section, nearly everything has been turned into a snack. There’s no more Fair Weather Flute for switching teams. Now there’s a simple Flute to do this — and it’s a flute of champagne. The Passive Income Potion has been changed to Popcorn. High-Roller Snake Oil has been converted to normal Snake Oil, which I guess isn’t really a snack? (I don’t know much about consuming oils of animals, so I could be wrong.) There are some new upgrades too, like Stale Popcorn, which rewards you coins when your team loses.

As usual, fans will be able to bet on teams and use any coins won to upgrade their coin income. You’ll also be able to buy votes to try to win Blessings, Decrees, and Wills (which are new and give even more perks) to improve your team for next season. Each season is one week long. The Blaseball fandom is also still going strong, with fanart getting shared to the site’s homepage. Play ball!
