The Devil is a Part-Timer! is back from the dead. After almost eight years, the anime about Satan working in fast food is finally returning for a second season. The show’s new season was announced over the weekend and included a trailer showing off some new visuals for the season and the returning voice cast.

The Devil is a Part-Timer! follows Satan himself after he was nearly defeated in his own world and has to escape to modern Tokyo. In order to survive, and eventually find his way back to his own world, the devil assumes a human identity and takes a job a MgRonald’s, a fast food restaurant. Of course, being the demon king didn’t prepare him very well for food-service, so hilarity ensues.

The first season of the anime was originally released in 2013, but didn’t earn much of a following. However, in the years since, the show has gained a cult following. This is especially true in the United States, where the show had a long run on Netflix, similar to the first season of One-Punch Man, before the streaming service was making anime of its own.

While the trailer showed off some of the returning cast for the new season, it’s not clear what studio will be handling animation. The original season was handled by White Fox, but there’s no confirmation on whether it will be returning for season two or if it’s been handed off to another studio.

Another thing that The Devil is a Part-Timer! season 2 is missing is a release date, but after eight long years of waiting, it’s exciting just to know the show’s headed back sometime soon. If you want to catch up on the show’s first season, it’s currently streaming on Netflix until March 31.
