How’s this for a perfect gift for... well, just about anyone. Including yourself. Here we have a beautiful, four-volume paperback edition of the complete Calvin and Hobbes, perhaps the greatest strip cartoon of all time, on sale for Black Friday.

Amazon is offering this lovely box set for $57.51, reduced from its usual $135. That’s an amazing $77 discount, or 57% off. It also has the three-volume hardcover for $128.71, almost $100 less than its $225 list price. Both versions contain every single syndicated Calvin and Hobbes strip ever.

Calvin and Hobbes’ notoriously reclusive creator Bill Watterson recently released his first published work in the 28 years since he wound up his most famous creation. The Mysteries is a stunning graphic novel written by Watterson, collaborating with caricaturist John Kascht on the mixed-media illustrations. (The pair uploaded a fascinating video about their collaborative process that’s well worth a watch.)

And guess what, The Mysteries is discounted for Black Friday, too. Amazon is offering the book in hardcover for $11.05, reduced from $19.99. Throw it in your basket too and you can have the complete works of the great Bill Watterson for $68.56. Bargain!
