The We Were Here series gets a new installment, planned for late 2021

Introducing We Were Here Forever

Cass Marshall is a news writer focusing on gaming and culture coverage, taking a particular interest in the human stories of the wild world of online games.

Total Mayhem Games, a studio from the Netherlands, has announced the newest addition to the We Were Here series. We Were Here Forever is the fourth game in the two-player co-op puzzle experience.

Two players are trapped within the deadly Castle Rock, and need to work together to escape. A series of dreadful obstacles are in their way, and the players have asymmetrical experiences; the information on one player’s screen could be crucial to helping the other player survive, so it takes patience, time, and lots of talking to figure out how to proceed. Only through communication over voice chat and clever planning can a duo overcome the odds and escape.

If a player is into co-op games like A Way Out, Portal 2, and It Takes Two, similar experiences can be few and far between. The We Were Here games seek to provide a similar kind of challenge, and over five million players have downloaded the We Were Here series

We Were Here Forever will release in Q4 2021 on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.
