Stamina is one of the most precious resources in Monster Hunter Rise. Without it, you won’t be able to dodge out of the way of big attacks or swing the most powerful weapons in the game. Just about everything you do depletes your strength and as your hunt goes on, your maximum amount of stamina shrinks. So how do you get it back?

In this Monster Hunter Rise guide, we’ll show you how to regain your stamina. We’ll explain what items to use and how you can craft and cook the best stamina recovery items.

How to regain stamina

Your stamina is represented by a long, yellow bar below your green health bar. Actions like running, dodging, using your Wirebugs, and attacking, use stamina. When you’re at rest, your stamina slowly recharges.

Your maximum stamina, represented by the dark red portions of your stamina bar, decreases over the length of your hunt. You can gain it back with a few items.

To regain stamina, there are a few options.

The most common way to regain stamina in Monster Hunter Rise is by eating rations. At the start of every hunt, you’ll get a few free rations inside the supply box at your main camp. These are helpful, but they only regain a small amount of stamina at a time.

If you know how to craft, you can make an energy drink. You can make this stamina potion by putting together Honey and Nitroshrooms, but if you’re farming Honey by using the Agrosy, you’re likely using them to make Mega Potions.

The best item to restore all your stamina is a Well-Done Steak. Learning how to cook a Well-Done Steak requires a bit of rhythm and practice, but once you perfect the process, you can regain all your lost stamina in one bite.
