Looney Tunes: World of Mayhem is a gacha mobile game with battle elements, in which players try to obtain rare characters from the Looney Tunes canon and then pit them against each other in battle. One character coming to the game in April is a little unusual — it’s Big Chungus, the big ol’ boy who has appeared in many a meme over the years.

World of Mayhem is a simple game on the surface, but it has a surprising amount of depth. Its fan community often talks about the best team combinations and strategies. Not only do players have to manage their roster, but they also have to upgrade facilities, play in limited-time events, and compete in wars against other groups of players. The action is depicted in a pretty silly fashion; it’s Looney Tunes, after all. Battles are won by dropping anvils on your foes or using comically over-sized ACME tools.

Big Chungus is a Legendary minion, and his associated event Chungabunga runs from April 2 through April 6.

This event is actually happening. Fasten your seat belts, folks, this is going to be a BIG one.

Type of event: New event + new toon

Main Toon: Big Chungus

Rarity: Legendary

Other featured Toons: Petunia Pig, Sam Sheepdog, Foghorn Leghorn, Granny, Egghead Jr, Porky Pig, Henery Hawk, The Mighty Angelo, Bugs Bunny, Miss Prissy, and Chef Porky.

Big Chungus is definitely an unexpected addition to the crew, but it’s not too big of a surprise, as World of Mayhem regularly introduces variants on recognizable characters to the roster. For instance, Bugs Bunny comes in the following flavors: Showbiz, King, Leopold, Matador, Holiday, Barber, Cowboy, Martian, Valkyrie, Mr. Bugs, Brave, Winter, Jester, Super-Rabbit, Captain Bligh, Baseball, and Snowbunny, Fans have been asking for Big Chungus for years now, but it’s still a surprise to see him officially debut in the game.

Players can also engage in an Easter event that allows them to hunt for Big Chungus Eggs and coins to exchange them for pieces of the legendary character, in hopes they can bring home a Big Chungus of their very own.
