Genshin Impact, a free-to-play gacha game from miHoYo might be getting character skins to adorn existing characters, a recent leak claims.

Screenshots purporting to show alternate costumes for Genshin Impact characters were shared in May by Project Celestia. The Twitter account has accurately reported leaks like Noelle and Diona’s Hangout event image, name cards, and new characters like Yanfei in the past. Per the the Twitter account, the feed provides “information datamined from the latest available clients.”

Pictures show that Jean, a knight, will be getting a new beach-inspired skin. Usually she appears in a full body suit complete with pants and a cape. Here, we see her donning a more casual look fit for a summer day out with friends. miHoYo did not respond in time for press.

Barbara, an idol, also might be getting a skin as well. She usually wears a dress, but here she wears a cute outfit based off a sailor’s uniform.

Genshin Impact is known for its beautiful character design — fans will even take on superstitious pre-roll rituals to try and get the rarest and coolest characters and will fall in love with specific characters, like Venti, and develop attachments to them, even when they fail to get them. A recent patch also gives players the option to spend time with certain characters one-on-one.

As the posts say, since none of this is in the game yet, the final designs might differ from what’s present within the leaks. The addition of skins opens up new possibilities for players hankering to interact with their favorite characters. If the leak is true, and this is just the start for new outfit options, it’s entirely possible we’ll get cute and new versions of all the fan favorites.
