Over the weekend, Square Enix revealed all-new details on Final Fantasy 14 and its upcoming Endwalker expansion — including a release date: Nov. 23. The publisher also announced the official Final Fantasy 14 guitar, which will be available both in real life and in-game.
Fender and Square Enix are teaming up for a limited edition Final Fantasy 14 Stratocaster electric guitar “featuring imitation crystal detailing, custom branding on the neck, and a custom, vintage-style hard shell case adorned with the FINAL FANTASY XIV logo,” according to a news release. Pre-orders for the Stratocaster will go live in late 2021 in the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Australia, and will ship in early 2022.

Final Fantasy 14’s new electric guitar is also coming to the MMO as an instrument for performance actions. The digital version of the Stratocaster will feature five different audio tones, Square Enix said, as well as “special performance features for the guitar including pick slide and mute effects.” The guitar will also be available as an indoor furnishing known as the Magitek Electric Guitar. It will be available to purchase in the Manderville Gold Saucer.
