Formula 1 is a spectator sport on the rise, and a crossover with Rocket League would seem to suggest as much. The Rocket League store’s Formula 1 Fan Pack is available tomorrow, giving players a new car and all 10 F1 teams in their current liveries.
The pack includes a competition car based on the Formula 1 chassis (it has a Dominus hitbox) and 10 decals spanning Alfa Romeo to Williams, so you can support your favorite team, or pick the one that looks newest and coolest. All cars are racing on Pirelli tires, too, and I note that’s the soft compound they’re using.
The Formula 1 Fan Pack is available beginning May 20 for 2,000 Credits (500 credits are $4.99, but bigger bundles sell them at a discount). There’s also a free Formula 1 Player Banner for folks to pick up in the item shop. Psyonix says that banner is available only until May 26, but it’ll return later this year to coincide with major F1 events. Coincidentally, this weekend’s major F1 event is the 78th Monaco Grand Prix.
Rocket League’s third season (17th since it went free-to-play) kicked off April 7, bringing with it a new arena, DFH Stadium (Circuit), a reconfiguration of the original arena to include a track layout and ornamentation befitting a major race weekend.
If you’re more a fan of closed-wheel racing, NASCAR also joined Rocket League earlier this month, with a collection of 10 stock car liveries and Goodyear racing wheels, also for 2,000 credits.
