Phasmophobia, the ghost-hunting game best played with friends, has an update on the way with two new ghosts. The developer of Phasmophobia, Kinetic Games, maintains a public Trello board with known issues, future features, and more. Fans have noticed two tantalizing cards on the board, features that are due to ship with the next beta patch: two new ghost types named Yokai and Hantu.

In Phasmophobia, players take the role of amateur ghost hunters, heading into terrible haunted houses and scary abandoned schools. With an assortment of tools, the hunters have to identify the specter in order to make a few bucks. Things can go sideways, though, and the game’s best scares come when the ghost is tired of being hunted and chooses to start murdering anyone in its way.

The Yokai is a Japanese term for spirits and ghosts, and in Phasmophobia, they’ll be attracted to human voices. Talking near one of these ghosts will anger it, but staying quiet will make it harder for them to hunt you down. Meanwhile, the Hantu is a rare ghost that shows up in hot climates and reacts aggressively to cold weather.

Kinetic Games will release more information on the upcoming beta build in the future, but it will also add new daily challenges for players.

Phasmophobia is available for Windows PC via Steam.
