Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X — and the free upgrade for owners of the game on the previous generation — is available beginning Friday morning.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s free PS5 and Xbox Series X upgrade now available
See it again, for the first time

The full game is $39.99 in both the PlayStation and Xbox marketplaces, although the upgrade is free for those who already have the game. Previously, a patch optimized Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order for the newest consoles, but that was mainly to unlock the base version and let it use the hardware’s improved power.
The upgraded game requires about 50 GB of on-console storage.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, by Titanfall creators Respawn Entertainment, launched in November 2019. Reviews praised the game’s application of traditional third-person action-adventure gameplay loops, especially its exploration and combat, to the Star Wars canon. The game was also a commercial success, moving about 10 million copies in the first four months of its release.
