Who’s been messing up everything? Well, clearly WandaVision’s Agatha Harkness has done something right. Variety reports that a WandaVision spinoff starring Kathryn Hahn’s character is in the works at Disney Plus.
Hahn will reprise the iconic role of Agatha Harkness, the conniving witch and the one person in Westview not caught up in Wanda Maximoff’s reality-altering spell. The series will be a “dark comedy,” Variety reports, citing multiple sources — though whether it is a continuation of Agatha’s escapades or a prequel exploring her funky past (or something else entirely!) has not yet been revealed. Jac Schaeffer, head writer on WandaVision, will serve as writer and executive producer for the spinoff.
WandaVision debuted in January, the first taste of the MCU after a long pandemic-induced drought. But since then, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki have run, along with the animated What If...? The next Disney Plus Marvel show, Hawkeye, will premiere on Nov. 24.
