Catwoman: Hunted trailer basically looks like DC’s version of Lupin the 3rd

Catwoman is the star of the latest DC animated movie, and her thievery has gotten her in trouble again. DC premiered the first footage from Catwoman: Hunted during its FanDome event on Saturday, giving fans a look at comic’s most famous cat burglar, along with the villains and heroes who are out to get her in the new movie.

The movie follows Catwoman as she steals a priceless jewel and lands in hot water with just about everyone. Meanwhile, her one ally in the movie is Batwoman. The trailer also shows off Black Mask, Solomon Grundy, Talia Al Ghul, Interpol, and more all after Catwoman.

One thing that sets Catwoman: Hunted apart from other recent DC movies is its anime-style animation, which immediately brings Lupin the 3rd and Cowboy Bebop to mind. The movie still appears to be a production from Warner Bros. Animation Studio, just like the other DC projects, but this movie’s certainly got a different look than the rest.

The movie also features an impressive voice cast that includes Elizabeth Gillies (Victorious) as Selina Kyle, Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) as Kate Kane’s Batwoman, Jonathan Banks (Breaking Bad) as Black Mask, Steve Blum (Cowboy Bebop) as Solomon Grundy, Kieth David (The Thing) as Tobias Whale, and Jonathan Frakes (Star Trek: The Next Generation) as Boss Moxie.
