New Resident Evil movie trailer is bad news for anyone who hates clowns

Well, that’s disturbing

The newest teaser for the upcoming Resident Evil movie is bone-chilling. There’s a creepy orphanage, terrifying dolls, spooky clowns — and that’s just the first five seconds!

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is based on the first two Resident Evil games and will have nothing to do with the previous Resident Evil movies. Instead, this upcoming film will focus more on the games and really lean into the horror. And judging by the eerie creatures and words written in blood in this teaser, it seems like it’ll do a very good job at that.

The movie will follow Claire Redfield (Kaya Scodelario) and her brother Chris, two of the central characters in the video game series, as they investigate the domineering corporation that experiments on the residents of their small town. Along they way, they meet Leon S. Kennedy (Avan Jogia), Jill Valentine (Hannah John-Kamen), and other characters from the games.

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City hits theaters on Nov. 24.
