MultiVersus is a few weeks into its pre-season beta period, and it already has 17 characters to choose from. Although the game’s first season has been delayed, two more heroes will join the roster in the next couple of months. But what about beyond? Who else from the world of Warner Bros. will come to the platform brawler?
Below, we’ve listed out all of the confirmed characters for MultiVersus, as well as a complete list of both datamined and rumored fighters.
Confirmed upcoming Multiversus characters
As of MultiVersus’ pre-season, Player First Games has revealed two upcoming characters: Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith from Rick and Morty.
Morty will come to the game at the start of season 1, with Rick joining his grandson before the season’s end. Morty will be a bruiser, putting him in the same class as Batman and LeBron James. Rick will be a mage, just like Bugs Bunny — a comparison he’d surely love.
Leaked and datamined characters
MultiVersus already has a sizable roster, with 19 characters included by the end of its first season. But there have been a lot of leaked and rumored characters as well.
Here’s the list of fighters leaked in the early March datamine:
- Marvin the Martian (Looney Tunes)
- Joker (DC Comics)
- Nubia (DC Comics)
- Raven (DC Comics)
- Gandalf (Lord of the Rings)
- Legolas (Lord of the Rings)
- Harry Potter (Harry Potter)
- Ron Weasley (Harry Potter)
- Gizmo (Gremlins)
- Cromulon (Rick and Morty)
- Fred Flintstone (The Flintstones)
- Johnny Bravo (Johnny Bravo)
- Mad Max (Mad Max)
- Ben 10 (Ben 10)
- Godzilla (Godzilla)
- King Kong (King Kong)
- Neo (The Matrix)
- Scorpion (Mortal Kombat)
- Sub Zero (Mortal Kombat)
- Emmet (The Lego Movie)
- Naruto (Naruto)
- Wreck-It Ralph or Fix-It Felix (Wreck-It Ralph)
- The Incredible Hulk (Marvel)
With the above leaked roster, you may be asking yourself, “how likely is it that all of these characters make it to MultiVersus?” Well, since these characters are datamined, we know they’ll appear in the game somehow (assuming they aren’t cancelled — and assuming the datamine isn’t fraudulent). However, whether these characters are actually playable is a different matter — for example, Cromulon is already in the game via the Rick and Morty stage, and it’s unclear if they’ll ever be more than a stage decoration.
Even this datamined list should be taken with a big grain of salt (it’s hard to imagine any Marvel characters ever making it into MultiVersus, for example). However, it’s worth noting that several of these characters — such as Marvin the Martian and Gandalf — have appeared on multiple leaked rosters and seem like safer bets. Characters from WB’s most popular franchises (like Harry Potter) also seem like inevitabilities.
We’ll need to wait and see how many of the more “out-there” characters are real, but if Player First Games pulls off even half of the characters above, MultiVersus is in for a weird and exciting couple of years.
