When does Hogwarts Legacy come out on Nintendo Switch?

Hogwarts Legacy, a new adventure set in the past of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, will be released on all major game platforms this year, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. But unlike many games, where the goal is to release on all platforms simultaneously, Hogwarts Legacy’s launch will be staggered over the course of nine months.

Hogwarts Legacy officially launched on Feb. 10, with the release of the PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X versions of the game. For Potterheads on PS4 and Xbox One, Hogwarts Legacy was released on those consoles on May 5.

The Nintendo Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy will be released on Nov. 14.

A week before Hogwarts Legacy’s launch on Switch, publisher Warner Bros. released first footage of the version for Nintendo’s platform, which you can watch below.

Hogwarts Legacy on Switch will be available both in physical form and digital form, through the Nintendo Switch eShop, for $59.99. A digital deluxe edition that includes the Thestral Mount, Dark Arts Battle Arena, Dark Arts Cosmetic Set, and Dark Arts Garrison Hat is available for $69.99. There is no Collector’s Edition for the Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy.

Given the later release of the Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy, Warner Bros. has decided to give all players (regardless of platform) the cosmetics that were previously available as Twitch Drops. Starting Nov. 13, all Hogwarts Legacy players will get the following in-game cosmetics:

• Charms Professor Gloves
• Charms Professor Outfit
• Charms Professor Scarf
• Charms Professor Tasselled Kufi
• Charms Professor Robe
• Silver Dragon-Eyed Spectacles
• Urchin Hat
• Carmine Lightning Bolt Scarf
• Lilac Ensemble
• Merlin’s Cloak

When will Hogwarts Legacy be playable on all platforms?

• Feb. 7 — Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition early access (PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X)
• Feb. 10 — Hogwarts Legacy standard edition (PC, PS5, Xbox Series X)
• May 5 — Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition and standard edition (PlayStation 4, Xbox One)
